"Virtru’s ease of use is the single best benefit of the platform. It works, and it’s simple. Any time you’re trying to get people to adopt new technology, the greater the ease of use, the greater the adoption.”
David Bowden
VP of Information Security, Data Privacy, Compliance, and IT, Zwift
In the years following 9/11, brothers John Ackerly, White House policy director, and Will Ackerly, NSA cloud security architect, observed three critical problems:
Federal agencies failed to share information and "connect the dots" across silos.
The Patriot Act opened the floodgates for broad information gathering and surveillance.
There was no easy-to-use technology to enable secure, private, and controlled information sharing.
To address these challenges, Will Ackerly invented the Trusted Data Format (TDF), a security standard that binds granular policy and access controls to sensitive information shared with others.
