Last night at the Above and Beyond the Cloud networking event co-hosted by Virtru, Google, Sada, Onix, Dito, Daston, and Carahsoft; I had the pleasure of observing a conversation between Karl Jankowski, CISO at WealthForge, and Juan Salinas, a Virtru sales engineer. During their discussion, Karl shared that over his long career working with hundreds of software vendors, he had never encountered a company as helpful and responsive as Virtru, nor worked with a sales engineer as knowledgeable and supportive as Juan.
In fact, Karl directly attributed his decision to purchase Virtru's data protection software to the guidance and expertise Juan provided during the sales process. As Karl put it, "the reason I bought Virtru is because of Juan."
This encounter serves as an important reminder that behind every successful software company are real human beings, not just lines of code. While Virtru's data security technology is cutting-edge, what truly sets the company apart is its commitment to genuine customer service through employees like Juan.
In an industry where people sometimes feel like just another transaction, Juan took the time to understand Karl's unique data privacy needs and match them to the right Virtru solutions. With patience and transparency, Juan earned Karl's trust and helped guide him to the purchase decision that was right for his organization.
At the end of the day, bits and bytes alone don't build businesses – people do. Virtru's ability to attract and retain talented, customer-focused team members like Juan is what enables the company to fulfil its mission of making robust data protection accessible for organizations of all sizes.
So while Virtru's technology offers best-in-class centric security and encryption, it's ultimately the people behind that technology who transform it into real value for customers like Karl. The story of Juan and Karl's productive working relationship is an inspiring reminder that, in an increasingly virtual and digital world, the human touch still makes all the difference.
